Why? Why don’t the writers want Wi Ha Joon to be happy? Let’s look at the his characters and what happened. This post has some spoilers.
Matrimonial Chaos
This was more of a low key dry comedy kdrama. It’s about a married couple on the brink of divorce with Bae Doona and Cha Tae Hyun. This a great show and worthwhile but that’s not what I’m talking about. There is a heart breaking scene where Wi Ha Joon is about to tell Bae Doona that he loves her and she immediately shuts him up before he can finish his sentence. The show ends with Wi Ha Joon by himself.
18 Again
Everyone watched this one and saw what happened. He was this professional baseball player with tons of endorsements. He was sexy and also had a heart of gold. He was taking care of his dead brother’s daughter. If he can’t get the girl, who can?
Worst Evil
The old kdrama tale of childhod first loves reuniting but in this case, his first love is happily married.
Gyeongseong Creature
He was up against Park Seo Joon. What did you think was going to happen?
Don’t get me started on Little Women, Squid Game, Shark, Miss and Mrs. Cop, or Bad and Crazy. There wasn’t even the slightest thought of shacking him up with anyone.
KDrama writers, directors, producers, please just at least once, let this beautiful man have his happily ever after. 제발!
