My Review
This show was completely unexpected. I was expecting a sappy love story with a tragic ending. I was looking for a good cathartic cry. Instead, we have a thriller/ mystery. I absolutely loved it.
It was also a beautiful story about love and loss. Jeon Yeo Bin did a beautiful job of conveying loneliness in Kwon Min Ju and it was a stark contrast from the confident and well loved Joon Hee.

I have to say, this was definitely the best performance that I’ve seen from Ahn Hyo Seop. He nailed both Si Heon and Yeon Jun (even though it wasn’t really Yeon Jun).
Rest in peace Seo Ji Won. I loved that the forgotten 90s ballad Gather My Tears was used as the time transporter. The irony of this song is Seo Ji Won died shortly after this song was released by suicide. I clearly remember all the guys at karaoke singing this song at the top of their lungs and I remember how crazy his suicide was and how we forgot about him. This song was used intentionally because the entire show is around saving Min Ju. I wonder if the director or producer had some kind of connection to Seo Ji Won.

They did an amazing job of giving the full 90s vibe. It is likely difficult for 30 year olds to act like high school students but they nailed it. I thought the time slip was well done in this one. An example of bad time slips in K Dramas, in my opinion, would be Born Again and King Eternal Monarch. This one was well planned but you still have to pay attention. It’s easy to get lost. There was only one gap in the story that I couldn’t wrap my head around. What happened to the real Goo Yeon Jun?
