I’ll be honest. The only reason I liked this Dongsang was because I thought he was so cute with his big ears. He is very good looking but he really stood out to me from all the other hot Kdrama actors because of his big ears. I first noticed him in Save Me, a thriller about a group of friends trying to rescue one of their classmates from a crazy religious cult that came out in 2017.
I didn’t really listen to Kpop when 2 PM was big, I stopped listening at around the HOT and Roora era, and I found out he was in 2 PM. Taec Yeon went from idol to actor. I don’t know how he was as a singer but he is definitely a fantastic actor beyond just his really cute ears.
His role as Jun Woo/ Han Seok was unreal in Vincenzo was unreal! He went from a sweet naive intern at a law firm to the psychopathic murdering villain. His face completely changed into another person when he switched over.
His Instagram page is mostly just food and I love it. He clearly loves cooking and eats lots of meat. My kind of guy for sure.
He plays a Joseon detective in Secret Royal Detective and Joy and he is absolutely adorable in this show.
Some cool information about Taec Yeon, he lived in the US for a bit and can speak English pretty well. He didn’t have to enlist in the South Korean military but gave up his US citizenship and enlisted and earned the nickname “Captain Korea”. So he didn’t just enlist, he excelled at it. This is where he went from an emaciated 20 something idol to a boyishly cute grown man.
Can’t wait to see him in his next project!
