I went into Google and searched everything about him and that’s when I realized he was the psycho abusive loan shark in My Mister who was always beating up IU. I remember being completely terrified of him when I was watching My Mister and hating him so much. He obviously understood the assignment and excelled at it!
I was taken by his soulful eyes and acting range. He is able to play the sweet gang-ah-jee (puppy) in a “noona” romance to a cold assassin. He can turn the chemistry on with any female. Of course I immediately watched Kill It, Born Again, Come and Hug Me, It’s OK That’s Love, Go Back Couple, and My Love Eun Dong (he was only in a few episodes but Joo Jin Mo was in it so it was worth watching). I lost my shit waiting for my Roommate is a Gumiho and Now We’re Breaking Up to come out. Then our boy enlisted in his mandatory military service.
His face is not that expressive but he can alter the entire mood of a show on his own. He somehow is able to convey such deep emotions without doing much at all. I don’t know if it’s his crazy sexy deep voice or just the look he gives. He can go from looking stone cold to having the warmest smile that can comfort anyone.
Being from Ulsan, he’s able to turn on that Gyeong Sang Do (province in south part of South Korea that they usually use for gangster kdramas) on with ease.
